Christmas
This past week has been….well, not the most enjoyable experiences. I enjoyed the company of my visiting aunt and uncle. I was even happy to see my new cousin. She was adorable, and a bit shy.
However, my older cousin…he makes me want to punch babies. Complains about the dogs barking at him, but he was the one provoking them. Spend most of Christmas eve/day asleep, only waking up for food. And when he wakes up, that is all he does. Gets up with the shirt that he slept in, no shower (and it was obvious, because of the smell), and no clothes change. While everyone was dressed up to spent quality time with the family, he looked like a hobo.
The only thing that helps me ignore him, is his little sister (my new cousin). Although she was extremely shy, I still enjoyed the time spent watching Christmas specials with her. She even helped improve my opinion about selfishness in the younger generation. She got a lot of gifts, even a video camera. However, her favorite gift seemed to be a harmonica. She carried that around everywhere, playing a tune here and there. It kind of made me a bit happy to see her so happy over something as small as a harmonica.
Overall, I appreciate my relatives taking the time to visit. However, it would have been nicer if my older cousin actually showed that he wanted to be with the family. Especially during Christmas…
