when i’m a parent, i really hope my children don’t feel the way some of you guys do about your parents
i don’t ever want them to hate my guts
or to think i’m a horrible parent
or that i’m pathetic.
even though my parents aren’t perfect i still love them, they gave me life.
Well, it is good that you plan to be a good parent. But some people can’t just help feeling negative about their parents. Sure, some people might hate their parents because they didn’t get the right game system, car, iphone, or something like that. That, I will admit, is very questionable.
But other kids may be unfortunate enough to be with a parent(s) who might be unloving, abusive, non-existent, or something along that lines.
In my case, I thank my dad for giving me life. But that is all I see that I should thank him for. Years of him mistreating my mother, my brother, and me is nothing to love him about. Much less, pretend that he is a great father simply because he gave me life.
It just astounds me so much how Disney could bastardize a culture so badly.
Talking about Pochahontas (and to a lesser extent, Mulan) - but looking at Aladdin - I wonder how badly they did it here? I don’t know very much about the culture.
Some things that I heard was a controversy involving the original lyrics of the “Arabian Nights” song. Stereotypes are played quite often in the movies (from Aladdin being a petty thief to poverty status). And the way they depicted the appearances of Aladdin and Jasmine compared to Jafar.
Okay, just recently, I’ve been watching (and playing) many DC comic related things. From Batman: Arkham Asylum/City to Teen Titans and finally to the movie, “Under the Red Hood.”
I already knew some background history of the first three Robins, so I kind of already knew who was “The Red Hood” and why he was doing all of this. However, this did not stop me from watching the movie. If you wish to get spoiled, keep reading. If spoilers are too much for you, turn around and ignore this. Either way, I will just sit here and try to hold all of my feelings about this movie. Enjoy.

Political opinions about him or any other candidates aside (because I rather not talk about Political or Religious topics to others) Am I the only one who just finds it annoying whenever he brings up that quote? At first, I found it amusing, especially when he poorly credited the quote. But after he brought it up several times, I just wish that he would stop.
Just saying, but if they make an Aladdin 3D movie (just like they did for “the Lion King” and “Beauty and the Beast”), I will be one of the first people in that line to see it. The moment that I hear it will be in theaters, I will plan a day to go watch it.
I’ve always been a fan of the Aladdin movies and the series. I would even prefer watching the Original Aladdin movie, rather than the Lion King (which seems to be a surprise based on most of my friends’ opinions) It was just one of the few things that I grew up with as a kid.
